Seaport World Trade Center & Seaport Hotel

Still The Biggest...Still The Best!
The largest consumer wine event in the country takes place February 10 & 11, 2007 at the Seaport World Trade Center. Come celebrate our 16th anniversary by experiencing this global adventure in a glass!

As an attendee, you won't want to miss this opportunity to sample over 1,800 wines from around the world and meet the winemakers who produce them.

As an exhibitor or sponsor, here's your chance to market your wines and lifestyle products and services to over 19.500 attendees over a two-day period!

The Grand Tasting not only features the hottest wines in the industry, but also attracts the nation's top chefs to entertain and educate the Celebrity Chef Stages. All levels of wine drinkers can expand their wine knowledge by participating in the Tasting Flights and the world's greatest vintages will be featured in the Grand Cru Wine Lounge. The Vintner Dinner and the all-new Progressive Dinner take place on Saturday along with the debut of "Jazzed About Wine". Please check back for more details on these exciting features.

Philanthropic Event
The Boston Wine Expo has made a significant impact on the non-profit community in Boston, generating valuable philanthropic dollars for many organizations. Over $700,000 has been distributed by the Guild of Oenophilists to over 27 charitable entities since the event's inception.

Beneficiaries include:
Tufts-New England Medical Center's Summer Camp Program for Children with Disabilities
Dana Farber Cancer Institute's Pan Mass Challenge
New England Shelter for Homeless
Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless

In addition, the Guild has partnered with one of the beneficiaries to establish a significant annual fundraiser, outside of the funds donated from the Wine Expo.

Boston Wine Expo Receives "Star Of The Industry" Award
The Boston Wine Expo was presented with the Massachusetts Lodging Association's "Star of the Industry" award for "Best Special Event - Ongoing" at the 10th annual Stars of the Industry Awards Gala, in February 2006. The award was given to the Expo for its ongoing impact on the Massachusetts lodging industry. Designed to attract Bostonians and visitors alike to the city for a weekend of fine wine and food in the midst of winter, the two-day event has encouraged guests to stay overnight, driving business to area hotels and restaurants.

Initially, the Boston Guild of Oenophilists and ResourcePlus Shows & Events had three objectives: create an educational opportunity for consumers to develop their wine experience and gain confidence, make Boston a destination during a typically inhospitable season, and stimulate restaurant and hotel activity while increasing wine sales.

Although the Seaport Hotel was an immediate beneficiary of the Boston Wine Expo after its opening in 1998, the hospitality industry throughout the city benefits from the event.  Hotels are now filled to capacity when occupancy was traditionally low, and restaurants are now busy for almost a week with many hosting independent vintner dinners, taking advantage of visiting winemakers and guest chefs.
